An Historic Event to Celebrate their upcoming 250th Anniversary

This annual event offers many fun and educational activities for all visitors. Guests can enjoy vendors and food trucks, and there will be live exhibits showcasing how food was prepared in the colonial era. You can learn about the encampments and enjoy cannon and artillery drills. The highlight of the event is the reenactment of the battle, which takes place in the early afternoon. This reenactment allows us to experience the battle as historians believe it unfolded. Hundreds of volunteers will participate, bringing this historic event to life for spectators. This reenactment is particularly exciting because it takes place on the same field and among the same hills as the original battle. Many reenactments across the country do not use the actual battlefield for preservation purposes.
This event is held each year in June to celebrate and honor the history and events that took place here almost 250 years ago, shaping our wonderful nation. Monmouth Battlefield will have an even larger celebration in June 2028 to mark their 250th anniversary. Stay tuned for that!
