Newport is world-famous for its opulent Gilded Age mansions, built as summer “cottages” by America’s wealthiest families in the late 1800s. These estates are more like European palaces than homes, and touring them feels like stepping into another era. There are several to visit, with the two perhaps well recognized being The Breakers and the Elms
You will visit two mansions for self-guided visits as part of the tour. One of the mansions will be The Breakers. Access to other mansions can be added at an additional cost. You will enjoy plenty of free time to explore downtown Newport with its maritime history and quaint architecture, wander the cobblestoned streets lined with colonial homes, and take a stroll around Newport Harbor. Also, enjoy the local cuisine with many restaurants and coffee shops around.
For those interested, there will also be an opportunity to experience the renowned Cliff Walk one of Newport’s signature attractions. This breathtaking coastal path l combines rugged Atlantic views with backyard views of the mansions. Newport, Rhode Island, is truly an East Coast gem, captivating thousands of visitors each year with its beauty, history, and timeless charm.

Is there parking at the pick-up locations?
Some of the pick-up locations we use require a parking fee for your vehicle. Guests are responsible for their own parking fees.
