Join A-1 tours for a three day tour to the Virginia Arts Festival. Virginia Arts Festival is held annually in April featuring a variety of performances featuring a impressive lineup of marching bands, drill teams, dancers and vocalists. The international Tattoo takes place over four days and includes events such as the NATO Flag Raising and The Annual Parade of Nations. It’s a great time to visit Norfolk, VA.
The International Tattoo features a remarkable international cast with over 800 civilian and military performers. It is a moving tribute to the service of our military personnel with powerful music and mashing performances along with heartfelt presentations.
On our journey south, we’ll make a stop Annapolis, MD, to explore the picturesque streets of the historic district with a guide, delving into its unique history and culture. We’ll also take a brief highlights tour of the US Naval Academy. Before enjoying a light lunch. From here we board the coach and continue our trip to Virginia.
Upon arriving at the hotel in Virginia Beach, you’ll have the evening to spend at your leisure. We will be staying at Sandcastle Beach Resort, a 3* beach front property. The following day will be dedicated to attending the Virginia Arts Festival, culminating in the spectacular International Tattoo performance at 7:30 PM.
The next morning, we’ll depart Virginia Beach and make a stop in Alexandria, VA and visit Arlington National Cemetery. Established during the Civil War, the cemetery spans 639 acres and serves as the final resting place for over 400,000 military personnel, veterans, and other notable figures. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see Arlington House, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Memorial Amphitheater, and the Eternal Flame marking President John F. Kennedy’s gravesite. We’ll enjoy lunch before heading back home.
