Hop aboard for a joyful holiday adventure as we head to the New York Botanical Garden to experience one of New York’s most magical seasonal traditions — The Holiday Train Show! Now returning for its 35th year, this beloved display fills the historic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory with charm, cheer, and plenty of “oohs” and “ahs.”
Watch delightful model trains whiz and whistle through a whimsical world of nearly 200 famous New York City landmarks, from the glittering Rockefeller Center and the mighty Statue of Liberty to Coney Island’s Wonder Wheel and the grandeur of Grand Central Station. Each miniature masterpiece is lovingly crafted from natural materials like bark, leaves, twigs, and acorns — making the entire exhibit feel like a holiday fairy tale come to life.
Upon arrival, we’ll kick things off with a private guided tour led by a museum expert who will share fun stories and behind‑the‑scenes details about this cherished New York holiday tradition. After the tour, feel free to roam, explore, and soak in the festive sights at your own pace.
Lunch is on your own and can be enjoyed at the garden’s cafeteria or one of its dining spots. We’ll spend approximately four merry hours at the garden before hopping back on the coach for a cozy ride home — hearts full of holiday spirit!
