Upon arrival in Washington, DC, enjoy a boxed lunch before beginning your guided sightseeing. Touring aboard a comfortable motor coach equipped with restrooms, our sightseeing experience combines both coach touring and walking—allowing us to get out and experience the monuments, memorials, and cherry blossoms up close while also comfortably covering more of the city.
We’ll make our way along the Tidal Basin, one of the most beautiful places to experience the cherry blossoms, with stunning views and exceptional photo opportunities. Along the way, your licensed guide will share the fascinating history of Washington’s cherry trees, their origins as a gift from Japan, and how they grew into an annual celebration that draws visitors from around the world. We’ll also explore several of Washington’s iconic monuments and memorials along the National Mall.
After a day of sightseeing, settle into your 3-star hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, making it easy to enjoy dinner and some time on your own. The following day is yours to discover Washington at your own pace. Enjoy free time on the National Mall to explore the Smithsonian museums, revisit a favorite landmark, or discover something new.
